A team crest is not one file — it's a set

The single most common mistake in sports team embroidery is treating the team crest as one file. In reality, the crest lives at half a dozen sizes across the uniform system: full-size on the jacket back, mid-size on the chest, small on the cap, tiny on the bag flap, and often re-proportioned on the sleeve. Each size needs a separately optimized file, because a design that reads perfectly at ten inches turns to mud at two.

StichDesign digitizes team crests as sets. You send the master artwork and tell us the placements you need. We punch each size independently with size-appropriate density, satin widths, detail levels and thread counts. The finished garments look like one coordinated brand system, not five different files stitched by five different shops.

Roster-ready name and number sets

Most team orders include player names and numbers matched to the crest. We build a name-and-number font set specifically tuned to your crest style — same weight, same serif treatment, same finishing — so the roster embroidery looks like it belongs on the jersey.

For teams that reorder every season, we archive your font set so future orders come out consistent even years later. New player names get punched into the same font, at the same weight, with the same finishing.

Fabric-specific tuning across a uniform system

A team uniform typically spans several fabrics: game jerseys in performance polyester, warm-up jackets in tricot or fleece, coach polos in cotton piqué, caps in structured twill, and bags in canvas or ballistic nylon. Each fabric needs different density and underlay. We tune each placement file for the specific garment it will run on so the whole system finishes clean.

Bulk-run friendly for full team orders

Files are optimized for repeat runs of twenty-five to five hundred pieces per placement. Stitch order is planned to minimize trims, thread breaks and operator interventions across long production shifts. Your operator loads once and runs the full roster.
